MAYhem at the shirt factory gallery’s
opening reception was a tremendous success. Over 200 people attended the multi-media event. Lynn Herring unveiled her Isolation Theaters and a new video piece. The Isolation Theaters are continuing to be on view at The Shirt Factory until mid-June.

 

WAAM’s Far and Wide show
attracted a huge crowd at the Woodstock Museum on the village green. The day was a magnificent sunny Spring day and people came out to see art at the openings in town. Lynn Herring’s “Bend over and Bend over backwards” piece received a special citation from Paterson Sims, the curator of the show.

 

 

NYSG’s MISC show
is a much-awaited Lower East Side event. Lots of experimental video and performance filled the 2 floors of the gallery. Herring’s video sculpture “Man’s Inner Reflections” greeted visitors as they entered the gallery and could be seen from the streets.

 

OCTET at the Pera Museum in Istanbul, Turkey "Octet: Codes and Contexts in Recent Art," curated by BFA Fine Arts Department Chair Suzanne Anker and faculty member Peter Hristoff, is a survey of 111 works by 66 artists from the School of Visual Arts, offering a multi-generational response to current trends in contemporary artistic practice
