Lynn Herring's interest in symbolism, words and nonsensical scribbles came to life in her prints. Working from a handmade book that was from a very important transitional period in her art, she decided to take many of those images and create large prints. She was very drawn to playing with letters that are also symbols such as x’s and o’s and wondered how many meanings we can derive from those two letters.
